I was mainly referring to the rear end on 37's, but that's impressive.
Why go to a 9 if you haven't had any problems with it so far? Makes sense when running 40's or such, but I'd think 37's should hold up on the 8.75 rear end if you're doing mostly crawling stuff. Not to mention you'll be losing a little bit of ground clearance with the bigger 3rd

Just for parts availability and housing strength. Also want full float, and more width without spacers.

also not to mention low pinion height… you can run the high pinion but those have their own issues… not to mention expensive I think.

    37" on all trucks!!

Seriously though, 37" tires and 5.29 gears work fairly well, if you throw in the Pedal Commander (on the Taco) and forget about the gas needle diving, it feels fairly close to stock power.
However, in my experience (maybe I was being a little reckless and learned the hard way), I upgraded my carrier bearing and u-joints.

Looking for gear shop, preferably with Toyota experience. I’m in Ventura area. I used Yotamasters in Corona before.

ECGS would be my recommendation - good customer service and warranties. Just send yours back after you install the new one.
