Does Oregon enforce mud flap laws? I see many trucks without them. I know what the law says, but does it actually get enforced out here?

I have never been pulled over so, from my experience, I would say no. There may be others that can chime in.

I’m in Portland - I think the police have not been active with much of anything vehicle or traffic related.

Bringing up old thread but I did get a ticket for not having mud flaps in Clackamas by a happy valley pd. Ended up being a fix it ticket had to put one on and take it to court. Ended up mounting onto my rear bumper

Picking a nit on my previous answer--if you don't raise your rig, buy oversize tires, and leave your fenders intact, your OEM type III fenders and flaps will be fine. Your tires horizontally exceed the width of your tires. It's hard to tell whether your fenders are still present, but they would be too small, I'd bet, to contain the overspray. So, yep, you need flaps. I presume the officer was having a slow day.

i can understand a truck like yours, high cuts like that sling some water. we installed a set of universal rally armor style ones on a friends Tacoma like that. cut down the spray, also got the fix it ticket dropped.
