So i took the decals off the sides of my truck, i know I drive a TRD off-road 4x4 , and now my wife thinks the truck looks better with them on. I think shes crazy, she told me i should spend the $ 80 and get replacement decals from the dealership.
has anyone else removed the decals?

 

Took mine off as soon as I could (and the rest of the badges).
Looks so much cleaner without them.

 

Took mine off my OR when I bought it used. It already had the front door badges so I kept those on. I bought a set of blacked out decals but have never put them on.

 

I live at 7600 ft and not expecting much nor do I run sand bags but perhaps the topper replaces that weight difference. I would put 'em back in for you for a sixer!

The truck with the highest North American (Canada/USA) content in parts is actually the Ridgeline (70%, with the Tundra (65%) and Tacoma (60%) next in line. None of the Big 3 have more than 50% of their parts sourced from NA.

If you are going to install replacement decals I would look at some vendors that can custom make for you at a lower cost.

 

The drop down steps seems like something easy to get hung up on. So I guess when get my truck lifted a bit, I might have to walk around and give my wife a boost up to the sliders.

When you break it down past manufacturing and start looking at raw materials and by-products there are very very few goods that are truly 100% domestic.

Buying the original to support a small business vs buying a knock off copy from a large corp. I chose to support the small business.

 

Quite a dilemma, but a quick calculation in my head shows that new decals are bit less expensive than a new wife. But since I have little skill in applying decals, I'd probably mess it up the first time so I'd need to factor in $160 vs a new wife.

In answer to your survey question, I have not removed my decals but did give it some thought. My wife says she doesn't really care what I do to the truck but sometimes I get that "is that really necessary?" look.

 

Get some off Etsy Whatever color combo you want. They look better.
