4th Gen Tacoma (2024+)

Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely a Toyota fanboy most of the time, but Chevy did it better.

 

While they better have fixed every issue from gen 3 if they are focusing attention on creating a problem that will require a solution that nobody even asked for.

 

I can't imagine that not popping out or rubbing / squeaking like hell on a rough trail.

 

So I would assume the rear window will go down in the Tacoma now...if not..then that tail gate lip will rate useless feature number 1

 

What a stupid feature and I’m sure a huge mark up for a shitty quality portable speaker anyways lol!

Whatever happened to just bringing your own portable speaker or just having the music playing on your truck??

 

It's the equivalent of the 3rd gen Go-Pro mount but Toyota / Sweers upgraded the gimmick stupidity factor by 9000 for the 4th Gen

 

Funny you should ask; uhhh, nothing. Nothing happened to doing those things.

I can't wait for the peasant trims to try and force it to work, shoving it in unsuspecting places, like the TRD PRO badges.

 

I'm waiting for the first 4th Gen thread about how they lost or damaged their speaker and now have to pay $800 for a new OEM one.

Good way to pull in Millennial and Gen Z Tacoma first time buyers. Not needed by me though.

 

After a closer look, it definitely has its own means of securing. I noticed it has an "eject" button right below it:

Most of them will probably end up getting lost or sun damaged, so it will just be an empty hole in the dash.

 

Just what I wanted, my escape to the wilderness to get louder and more obnoxious with campers who think everyone else likes their crappy music.
