I got the front only. Super simple install, very low profile, works well

Looks nice and clean. Does it have a parking mode?
I opted for the Garmin DC Tandem because it has front and rear cameras in one unit. Helped me out greatly when my Taco was rear ended by another vehicle. Evidence was appreciated. However, useless now, since I have a camper shell on the bed.
The park mode is cool, especially with these reckless folks on parking lots hitting the vehicle and driving away.

Whats the function of these again? To just record when/if something happens?

    Pretty much yes.
If your in a crash, and the other party is at fault, but they blame you it can be a pain to get insurance to pay out. But if you have a video showing the other party is at fault then insurance is easy.

    correct!
It also often changes other's behavior, nearly instantly, when they notice they are being recorded. It's a shame it's this way,,,,, but,,,, it's that way.

If it does in fact ‘often change others behavior’ as you said then that would be the one drawback to an integrated camera like this one vs a standalone. I bet most people wouldn’t notice this one is there.

I like this design but am still thinking of one that has parking mode. If I’m going to all the expense and time why not try and cover more situations.

Many people dont notice you have a camera until you say "I have a dashcam". But often that only becomes a factor if the person gets out and starts being aggressive. If I was in a crash, I would not tell them I have a camera so the cops can get their whole lie before they see the truth.

    Far to much money spent.
I have this front FITCAMX so far works as intended no parking mode unless you buy the harness. But whatever it’s more for the clowns on the road anyway. Install is easy clean looks like it came this way. Can’t go wrong for $200
