Being this is the new vehicle I've ever owned, this tip is invaluable, thanks sir!! I do job site visits on occasions, sometimes I handle calls in the truck before and after my drive. Old school me used to flip the switch into accessories mode and still have the radio but this doesn't work with the button. Absolutely grinds my gears with the push button that just cuts everything off mid call after I'm parked. I now understand why the sales guys run their engines(I agree it's terrible) on their company vehicles.

.21 gallons / hour flow rate on my 21 DCSB Auto at idle. Not a big deal. Big rigs idle all night at truck stops when drivers don't want to fire up their Onans.

I tested this on my early 2020 build (has the relocated/moved roof antenna and the transmission cooler still) and it didn’t shut off after 30 minutes but I did open the door during that time but didn’t shift it out of park

omg, can I talk about how annoying the alerts are on my 2023? Sometimes I park with the moonroof up to vent out on hot days since I don't have a garage. Damn truck screams at me for every little thing.

Sometimes she makes me feel like a old ass man with all these new safety features/alerts.

Anyone know if the auto engine shutoff “feature” affects manual transmission vehicles? Some of the press releases mention it is tied in with the (so-called) Smart Key System, which we in the three-pedal world don’t have.

Yes, I know I could test it myself, but asking here seems simpler.
