My apologies for starting yet another tonneau thread—I’ve read copious on here about them and haven’t found my concern addressed anywhere, so…

I was settled on the truxport but when I watched an install video the brackets that hold the tonneau rail down looked super chunky. Has anyone had issues with these getting in the way, damaging stuff or your shins, or being a general pain to work around?

    Thanks for your insights

Just installed this on my SB and am happy with it. The brackets aren't that bad. Might look worse in pics. not flush by any means but haven't caught anything on them or anything like that. however I don't roll it back often.

No issues at all. I've hauled gravel, dirt, mulch, a motorcycle, lumber, and helped two people move.

I was just thinking about your concern about damage to things being hauled... if I found myself concerned I think I would get a pool noodle and just put a portion over each clamp temporarily... or something along those lines...
