The axel will still have play even after the bushing. Play is similar to the stock needle bearing.

It sounds like the seal was not installed properly or straight.

Do you have excessive play in your cv where it goes into the diff? If not just a bad seal more than likely. You make me want to go check mine.

Loose again would lead to believe there may be other issues...

But did he check the fit right after the bushing was done? Only way for the bushing to go bad would be from driving with low or no diff fluid.

The seal should be driven in flush with the differential. Do not drive it in any further. Other wise it will leak. Play is normal. There will still be play with a brand new bushing. The bushing takes out about 1/3 of the play.

I checked it after he installed it and there was no play. Now it is more than the needle bearing was. And there is fluid dripping when I push it up.

There should never be no play. Does the diff still have fluid in it?

At minimum need a new seal. Time to remove the cv axle and have a look at the ecgs bushing. Maybe get some pictures for the class to see.

Like others have mentioned, probably just needs new seal. It's very easy to install incorrectly.

I would top it off and bring it to whoever did the install. If it's leaking really bad, then don't drive it.

Maybe they installed the seal crooked or in too deep so it the seal was causing the axel to feel like it had no play. This would eventaually lead to the seal failing.

The front diff can also seep fluid if your diff breather is clogged. Happened to my second gen. I would check that as well.
