SOS late night mod help

Hello i am currently swapping old headunit for etune 3.0 I cannot get my new premium bezel to go on. The top holes are not lining up they are underneath the holes, is the headunit sitting too low?

 

From what I can tell it looks like the brackets are on upside down\on the wrong sides making the head unit sit way too low in the opening...

 

Is that upside down?

 

I don't know. I'm just telling you what it seems like. Are there any other holes that those brackets can be fastened to in order to raise the head unit up to proper location?

 

I agree with you it is too low and that’s what I’m trying to figure out the mounting brackets are off an og etune. Not sure if that matters but i think those are the only holes it fits in

 

But in install videos the brackets all look the same

 

Okay I’m pretty convinced the bracKets are different sizes now i gota find the right bracket

 

I would at least try removing the brackets and seeing if they fit on the opposite sides of each other or various other holes. It's just a couple screws, might take 2 mins to check all the possible bracket orientations.

 

You probably have to drill some holes on the brackets.

I assume your new Entune3 didn't come with the brackets and you swapped the Entune 2 head unit brackets to the new head unit.

This is the one I got, which came with brackets. Notice the bottom of the face are almost lined up with the brackets.

 

I just ordered the new brackets gona rough it for a few days till they get here. Also I didn’t get the bottom thing with my headunit. Do i need it? What does it do?

 

GPS unit is an option on these head units. If the vehicle is ordered with it, there will be a secondary box attached to the bottom.

Bracket scheduled to arrive today thank god. I popped the new bezel on but it’s just sitting in there loose, it’s giving me anxiety lol
