I traded an '18 OR DCSB (that i bought when it had 4k miles) towards a '21 Pro. The Pro is hands down a better suspension and is a very noticeable upgrade IMO

I have to agree. My daughter has an OR with brand new bilstein 5100s on all 4 corners. Off-road they ride surprisingly similar, especially when aired down. On road, however, my Pro is significantly smoother

I upgraded my 18 sport with the 15 (2nd gen) Bilstein Pro suspension. Love it well worth it, but they were blowing them out back then for $600.00.

I’ve got em on my OR, bought then new from Toyota. One of my favorite mods! If you’re not really looking for much of a lift and you can pick up a low mileage set of takeoffs I’d highly recommend it.

It is unclear to me what sucks about the OPs current shocks or what he’s trying to accomplish with new ones.

When I recently lifted 1.5” front and rear with ADS, 650# coils, and Deaver single AAL + 500# Sumo Springs, it was to gain control over a bouncing truck on moderate trails and provide support in the rear while towing. Mission accomplished.

Without a clear notion of what the OP is trying fix that currently sucks, it seems we’re all speculating.

I know it’s been mentioned, but for the $$$ go with a true coil over. Hell, go with a setup like OME coils, nitro chargers, and leafs. If you’re already thinking about more capable suspension, you’ll be kicking yourself down the road for not buying once and crying once. Juzz myy .02

I had a 19 TRDOR and now have a 23 TRDPro. The Pro suspension is leagues better than the OR on road and off it. I know general wisdom here is that the money you save by not buying a Pro can buy you a lot more truck in after market parts. But I am lazy and like things stock. No regrets paying the Pro premium.

I needed a long bed, so I had to make my own pro from a offroad.

I get it, if I didn't insist on having the 6MT before they stopped making them, I would be driving around in a DCLB too!
But my current needs for a Tacoma were only cosmetic and not really functional so the Pro6MT it is for now!
