Hm I’m not sure, is that Little Rock? Also what car is that?

Idk why but straight six engines are usually like that, at least the bigger torquey truck engines. Toyota even said 1 qt/1000 miles is normal for the 1FZ. Mine had an inch-thick layer of gunk coated around the bottom half of the engine. I’ve always wondered why other engines like the 2UZ and 5VZ don’t usually do this as much.

The 1 quart per 1000mi is a burn tolerance, not a leak tolerance. My 5VZ was a fucking mess too, seals go bad, don't let your pattern seeking brain deceive you, there's no pattern here.

That’s still a lot of oil to burn though, especially from the factory. It seems weird that Toyota would call that normal. I thought that was more a quirk of newer engine trying to meet emissions requirements with lighter rings etc.

It's very unlikely that they'll do that right from the factory, its an over the life of the engine guideline. Mine doesn't burn any, it just leaks it. My BMW drank a quart in 250mi tho, that was a record haha

It must be kinda like Toyota recommending a rebuild every 300k km. It’s not like that means your engine is gonna blow up at 186k miles, it was just their very conservative theoretical service interval, as I understand it.

Haven't driven it in about 2 weeks so no rush to bleed it. Once I do though it'll be a quick job with the use of this pneumatic bleed/refill system

    No need

These lines are meant to be extended replacements as my shocks extend enough to tear the factory lines

Reposting an old pic but here the shock had more travel and the wheel still wasn't coming off the ground. The inhibitor in this pic were the stock lines

This is what I was thinking of: https://www.performancedieselinterc...ter-landcruiser-80-series-early-4-bolt-master

They recommend to install braided lines along with it.

Stock weight, 33s, and 4 wheel disc is enough to stop Reptar. He's slow AF so it's not like I'm going fast anywhere with it.

Was nice to see all fluid coming out clear; the brakes always felt nice so it's fair to say the fluid was replaced when the previous owner did the brake pads.

Mine stops easy enough, stops better with my trailer though (trailer brakes for the win). But fuck it eats front pads in 2 years like clockwork
