Favorite Whiskey?

I witnessed a disagreement at my local ABC last year between two apparent adults over who had seen a bottle of Eagle Rare first. It was about 4 notches more heated than it ever should have been.

I can only imagine hidden allocated bottles.

 

Who saw it first makes no difference. What matters is which childish adult has the bottle in their tiny little hands first.

Agreed. I'm guessing MWND or Prisoners for the High West, OF SBBS, EHT BP, and JD10.

 

The OF is what threw me off, I don’t think of the SBBS as “highly allocated” but maybe I have no clue.

And hell even the EHT small batch qualifies as such given that I’ve literally never seen one in this state.

ok guys gonna share this with you... my youngest daughter is super into Japanese culture, we've hosted exchange students, she speaks fluent Japanese & so on.

so over the years we have tried a bunch of the Suntori stuff. (my god its awful) which brings us to:

she graduates with her Masters degree from UC this semester & dad got his baby a surprise! no its not the car or the car insurance or the health insurance or the cell phone or laptop & all that other stuff i provide. this was a special thing just for her. super cool & will probably taste like crap if she ever opens it. BUT its a work of art for sure. it came exactly as you see it in the fancy display box/case & all. very pretty whiskey piece & something she can ad to her collection.

SLO! I got the tip from the CFM app and to my surprise they held a bottle of each for me. I went to SM on my way home to ask if they’d get any in and the guy there told me they have neither of them coming this week.

 

Gentleman Jack is my newest drink.

I like Gentleman Jack; it's a lot smoother than regular JD.

 

It’s actually the BAND app but there’s a local grocery store here that has a group on there. They do barrel picks and special allocation releases at msrp

 

uh guys... You know the story behind Gentleman Jack... right? he blended that for his many female friends.
Gentleman Jack was a notorious cockster & he would always bring that smoother, sneak up on ya blend to his females houses so he could ply them with alcohol & get his freak on.

not saying there was anything wrong with that back then or even in my high school days, just that was the real purpose of it. the man had a plan.
