Let me get this straight you are offering the insert grille like a grillcraft except yours is recessed. I like! How about include one with a color matched grille surround so you just bolt on and go.

    WRONG.
I am looking into having a piece manufactured that would replace the stock inner part of the grill that would have all the work of doing the satoshi mod completed already...
No glue, bondo, or epoxy... Just a complete satoshi inner grill ready to add mesh to.
Our stock grills are 2 pieces - an outer one that is chrome or color matched, and an inner piece for the black center.
I propose to make the latter.
I have no interest in painting a bunch of grills to color match either...
This would be a replacement to your existing stock inner grill.:D

I don't get where the confusion is.

You order this item, cut the center of your grill out, insert this plastic piece to cover the cut marks which creates a nice flush surface, and attach your mesh to it.

Correct? Or am I equally confused?

    Also wrong...
You will not cut anything, only separate the two pieces that make up your grill and then re-attach the new piece...
I'm going to have to illustrate this better I think...
Need to do a search to find the right pics....:(
I'll do it later on tonight... gotta go feed the kids right now...:D

TY now I understand, I am a little dense, this would not work for a grillcraft then. O well back to the bondo an paint after the removal of the center bars of the grill.

    Still a cool idea.

He indicated he would make it so it could accept multiple different types of grille mesh

I know Keith but the mesh would be at the back of the insert. The addditional reduction in the actual opening would make a Grillcraft insert probably not fit.

This is what I want to mount behind the Grillcraft Grill.

I've seen people make the grillecraft work with the satoshi by affixing it flush with the back though, so I'm hopeful.

I thought only the cheap ebay grills came in two pieces and that the OEM ones were molded together and not easily taken apart without messing it up.
