So my buddy wants a hitch on his 02 forester. As far as I can find there’s only 1 1/4” hitches.
Some Reddit post said generations can share hitches but I don’t trust that.

any other ideas on a way to get a 2” hitch for that thing? 2” being the most common would remove headaches when buying stuff and making sure it’s right size blah blah. As well as more tongue weight for a class 3 hitch

Have they checked e trailer? I got this one for my wife’s passport and it works great.

Yep. For all places online, e trailer included. 2002 forester only has class 2, 1 1/4” options

So we thought that. But with an adapter, and weight of bike rack+bike already being near tongue weight for the 1 1/4” hitch, you add in the fact the bike rack is extended out from the hitch and add a cantilever effect and I don’t know that I’d trust it

How heavy is the bike and rack? The max tongue weight on a class II should be 300lbs and with the 6" extension/adapter the bike will sit closer to the bumper in the first position (closest to the vehicle) than a bike in the second position on the rack with no extension.

The other options would be to buy a 1-1/4" rack and an adapter to increase it to 2" if he wants to run it on another vehicle or go with a roof rack.

Sorry to bother everyone, but can anyone recommend a Toyota or Japanese auto repair shop in the Reno/Sparks/Carson area? My dad continues to take his 2021 Toyota RAV4 to the Reno dealership and I imagine there has to be a better alternative (i.e. knowledgeable Toyota/Japanese specialist shop outside of the dealer)

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
I have heard good things about Arrow, but no personal experience.
