Great work and fun read!! You’re inspiring me to paint my hood and right fender, I’ve been procrastinating it long enough!

btw your truck still has low miles, I’m somewhere around 357,000 original miles and still going strong!

Bed mat finally arrived! This was a nightmare in shipping…two weeks ago a box arrived and it was supposed to be my bed mat. It was a rubber mat for the tailgate! Something I never even ordered. So I had to send that back though Amazon and REORDER another mat. Fortunately they had a "used" one for $85 and I bought it. Showed up in a box that had seen better days, but the mat was perfect. Still in the factory bag, still sealed!

Front end is back together. Came out awesome. First pic is the old parts. Corner light was broken and the grill was hanging on by a thread….I also replaced the chrome trim piece. It was rusted badly

Well, things have progressed to near completion! It needs an alignment, I still want to change out the rear diff fluid and upgrade the infotainment. But here are some ‘beauty’ shots from today. Decals on the side of the bed are from eBay. The SR5 badges were from Amazon and are a nice upgrade from the factory ones.

Yesterday I got around to installing my new driver side seatbelt. Pretty straight forward install. The old belt was frayed really bad and was filthy! Plus it was not retracting like it should. In fact, I tried to get a pic of it to show how frayed it was...but it was locked up and would not release lol It was nice to get in the truck this morning and feel a nice new/clean seatbelt!

Wow!, color me impressed. That truck looks really good for a rattle can paint job. Did. you clear coat it when you finished painting it. Wheels look good too, might motivate me to redo my wheels. Nice looking 5 lug. Should last you for years to come. congrats.

Thanks! No clear coat. My long term plan is to get it resprayed down the road the original green color. I just wanted to address the body work and get it one color so it’ll be a nice driver.

@1998 TACO24 You've got skills! I think if we are re-incarnated, you might have been a painter in a past life...

I like what you did with the Mustang, and when I got going through the thread and you mentioned white, I thought what a shame. But, then you did it, and with the black accents, it's a looker. I was really impressed with the work you did on the interior as well. Add to that all the maintenance items - beyond impressed.

What came to my mind - maybe you should send these pix to Rustoleum. Congrats on the results of your labor.

Another little job done on the SR5. Did a quick fix on the drivers side seat. Not perfect, but it’s functional! The foam is self adhesive and the tan fabric is iron on patch material. I wish it was darker, but it’s better than an ugly gaping hole lol
*you can also see my nice new seatbelt!!
