I just received an OEM pro grill ordered directly from a dealership. It arrived packaged well and the box was not damaged. The grill however has several scratches and the overall finish looks blotchy. It doesn’t show up in the pics but it looks like it wasn’t evenly coated when painted. I’ve read that the quality of parts has declined since covid, is this the new normal or send it back?

Not acceptable for new, but id prolly ding it more than that on the install, let alone the first few weeks. Let it slide...

Just my opinion, but for how much they cost, I’d request a new one. If the new one is in similar shape, F it and install. My Pro grill arrived looking as it should, pristine…

Send it back. I bought my Pro grille from my dealer in 2017. First one came with broken tabs because it was shipped without tab protection. The second grille came with the tabs poked in to cardboard. Very happy with my grille after 6 years. You are paying for new, make sure it looks new.

I bought an OEM Pro grill toward the end of last year from an online Toyota dealer and it was perfect..... and I'm pretty picky. I'd reach out to the dealer you purchased from.

I went ahead and emailed them. Was told they ordered another but there was no guarantee that Toyota would release it to them and I could return it for a refund if not. It’ll take a week just to find out. Toyota has made it a pain to get a pro grill.

Yes they have. If your particular then the damage(even though minor) will likely bother you.
