man nighttime difficulties have doubled down now with a threenager in the house. Gets up less often than she did as a baby which is great, then we had a period of armistice where everyone in the house was sleeping peacefully for a full 8+ hours. It was glorious. But all good things come to an end

Now she's in the "afraid of the dark" phase. So getting her to go to bed is a chore itself but if she wakes up at night it's even worse. No sooner do I calm her down, now she needs a snack...then she needs to pee (never thought I'd miss the diaper days)...then she's afraid of the dark all over again. Can't really debate with her on any of this because if she goes into tantrum mode it will be hours before anyone goes back to sleep.

need to get through this phase before the next baby comes or I'm gonna lose my damn mind lol

Depending on the marketing, you could make "Douglas" sound like an upscale boutique tire brand...or it just sounds like a dude named Doug makes the tires in an old plant thats barely standing.

Douglas is owned by Goodyear so they're probably make by the same children in the same factory as something with the GY logo on it.

I think I told you we don't really get layers of pollen on our cars out here...yeah I was way wrong. Parked the 4runner under a sycamore tree on our street and it was coated in a thin yellow layer of pollen the next day

    And tourists everywhere!
This weekend is actually going to be intense, Pharrell's big fest starts tomorrow. The lineup is crazy this time, as much as I'd love to see some of them, the crowds are going to be nuts. I'll hibernate like an old man lol.

I'm the same, I didn't like it when I was younger and being older just made it a bigger nope.

Man this all sounds like a nightmare.
Monica and I have been doing shifts so we get some sleep. I do 1am and 4am so she can sleep till 6am and than I sleep till about 10am. I was really looking forward to the 8 hours of sleep again in the future but you just crushed that dream.

Dude there's no such thing as reliable sleep anymore until they are probably teenagers, and then we'll have other things to worry about that keep us awake lol.

But the sleeping in shifts thing is rough, I remember that. Doesn't last too long though. And you might get lucky with a good sleeper when she's out of the newborn phase.

Enjoy them being in a crib while it lasts, I will say that much. Because once they are mobile and no longer trapped within 4 walls at night, anything goes. Anything
