What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I just placed the order yesterday and within a few minutes the order has already shipped via FedEx. Hopefully early part of next week, I am looking forward to the install. (MillerCatShield)

 

I keep a full sized spare at 285/70/17 in the stock location. Aired down to about 20 PSI to get it to fit the best after banging out the tabs a bit with a hammer.

 

I only have a couple things left on my chrome delete. Push start ring (I have black one from AJT Designs) and the side mirror adjust switch. Any suggestions on it??

My ‘21 Off-Road Premium Package came with a Black one from the Factory.

Don’t have the part# but you should be able to source one from Toyota.

You can pull up on the knob to remove it, then use a small tool to pop out the center top piece. Tape off the bottom portion and hit the chrome ring with some paint.

 

I am happy whenever someone doesn't run Methods, lol. The new ones already sound way nicer

I installed a Garmin Mini 2 dash cam this morning. Hopefully I'll never need it.

 

blackvue dash cam (dr590x) with blendmount. Waiting on mirror tap

 

havent seen a replacement for it .....paint?

 

My slider fabricator recommended Krylon Rust Tough Semi Flat Black as it matches their powder coat. So that may be an alternative for folks who live in a wetter area.

 

Pop out the plastic piece, tape bottom half then paint.

 

Have you viewed footage with the cam mounted like that?

I imagine it would be pretty shaky footage.

 

I haven’t yet, mount seems pretty sturdy and the camera is light. So idk I’ll check it out

 

I had a similar one, two years ago, I put it a plug worm and it has been great ever since. KO2 with 10ply are super beefy

 

I know what model I have and what sized motor. Took off bed stickers and gate v6. Left the door Tacoma ones on for now.

 

Did you have any residue you had to clean off?

I'm thinking of doing the same.
