so, the rehearsal went off well...$620.00 later, the dinner was great as well, me thinks they overestimated a bit, as there were 6, 14 inch pizza's left, thank goodness the groomsmen were there, to take the leftovers home for consumption at a later date...

i had to yesterday for around 15 minutes or so..but this seemed to help out later...

 

Not good that it broke down, but damnit, you get to play with the Big Boy Toys! I would not want to be in the back breaking, money challenging work as a Farmer, but I would sure love to be a volunteer operator on some big ass equipment

I finally got a lawn mover two days ago. I got to take it for it's first workout yesterday on my lunch break, got a couple acres mowed.... still have several to go, once the rain stops and things dry out a bit.

 

I'm thinking the terms "UTI" and "lickety-split" should never, evar be used in the same sentence. Or even the same conversation.

My yard does not justify a zero turn, but I borrow my neighbor's once/awhile and it is so fun to whip around in + takes me like 15 minutes to cut my grass vs an hour with my 25yr old Honda push mower.

I too would volunteer to operate one of those big tonka toys, any day!

 

We have 9 acres at our new place, about 6-7 of them are open and in need of mowage. The other couple are thick trees. We didn't have any sort of a mower when we moved here from CA last year, we sold the riding "tractor" mower with that house. It's gonna take me a while to get the hang of the steering on this zero turn. It is exactly the opposite of steering a motorcycle

 

Sounds like a nice spread! Zero turns are the shizz. Driving them is like pushing a shopping cart! When you get savvy, you can drive with one hand and impress all the neighbors
I bet y’all can’t see any neighbors!

 

It is a terrible show

But it is always nice to watch people make worse decisions than yourself and watch the blow back in spectacular proportion - makes me feel better about some of my poor life choices

I am on 2.5 acres and most of that is woods = can't see neighbors for most of the year
Can't justify a fancy new mower


The push/pull of the zero turn is definitely different to steer from most anything else - I used to drive an airboat for work and that uses a similar method, so it takes me a minute to get used to it, then I am fine - and it is so much fun . . . .

I wish I had 5-10 acres with 2 acres cleared around the house
