I've camped at Devil's Fork State Park. Really nice lake - not very crowded.

Where did you put in the kayaks?

We all should have a camping/kayaking weekend up there.

We put our kayaks in at bootleg road. The gate to get out there is only opened during hunting season though so it closes soon.

Yup. Been one of my favs since I was a kid. Easy hike in/out. Fun forest service road cruising with the fam to get to it.

Fully? i dont know tbh. ive only even gone up to indian grave gap, and it got sketchy for my 'rolla so i parked and hiked in to camp.
that being said, i'd wager a 2wd tacoma could make it a ways further. i was scraping towards indian grave gap, which is why i stopped. it wasnt mud or anything.

Ok. Thanks for the info. I think I will try it just to see. I am pretty local to it and really just looking to ride some forest roads and enjoy the weather.

Do you think it will be ok in a 2wd Tacoma stock suspension after the rain tomorrow? I have never been through there before so I have no idea how it is. We rode "low gap" is what I call it last weekend. I'm in Flowery Branch by the way.

My issue when i went in the 'rolla was clearance. and it had been raining for a week before i went. a 2wd taco should be fine. its a pretty well maintained road. its just gravel, and i know years ago we had some friends come up in an accord, but i rode in my brothers hunting truck, so iodk how hard it was for them to get there. I think you should be fine. and if it gets sketchy, you can always turn around. I also have recovery boards if you get stuck anywhere, and im bringing a hand crank winch. send me you number, i'll text you and you can lemme know. probably gonna be getting up there around 1ish

Made it up to Tray Mountain this weekend, shit was nutty, i really have no idea how i did indian grave gap in a rolla.
that being said, i dont have the TRD, I have the base 4x4 v6, and she friggin killed it on tray mt rd. which is pretty jacked up. I need to upgrade my suspension lmao.

I was going to try it in my 2wd but couldn't make it and based on your report I may be glad I couldn't.

you could have made it up indian grave gap rd no problem, but when you turn onto tray mt rd, it would be unlikely dude, it was rough man.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Love it!

Id be down with either honestly. Could replace CV's or do my wife's 4runner lift on a mod day. But i'm not turning down a range day either if I'm available!
