On both trucks I have tried running road pressures as low as 28 and as high as 40. In general, I am just not a fan of these tires on wet road conditions. As I've stated though, they are really good in dry trail conditions. And I recognize that it is very possible that both of these sets of tires were made during the... Events in recent years that necessitated the lowering of quality standards across the board

Makes a huge difference when you're driving in the wet stuff

    New tool day!!

Picked up a Miller 215 multiprocess welder (MIG/Stick/ DC Tig) will be nice to have a machine at home again, I've missed the convenience of it, should have never sold the machine I had.

Miller is running some good rebates right now on select machines. This one has a $500 rebate. Picked up a Miller Infiniti series welding helmet too which has a $75 rebate.

I am aware, I was just asking if it matters to him for his tire choices.

    Very nice!!!

I bought a Hobart Mig a few years ago, but have yet to fire it up. Dumb.

I made a less flashy welding purchase yesterday. Wrong color but it’ll work. Classes start in two weeks, this is required materials.

No equivalent is good... but trying to stay with the 11.5 E is kinda preferred. Don't care about snow-truck hibernates in winter. Want aggressive mud tire as first choice-Love those KM3's, but not the 12.5.

Nothing wrong with team red, but blue is better ;). I have a feeling you're going to like your welding classes.

10.5's are ok on 9” wheels. Or, at least the Kendas are. I didn't look at every option's specs.

And, I don't believe any MT's are 3 peak tires. By nature, mud tires suck in winter.

Load range E isn't necessary for towing. I personally would never put E's on a Taco unless it was for off-roading purposes.

You'll get better flex with Cs while off roading, but thicker sidewalls with Es.

    Preference I suppose

The point I was making is that load range E is not necessary on a Tacoma. They can't tow or haul enough to necessitate them. The only reason I would run them would be for additional durability for off-roading.

And, I get plenty of flex with my load range. E. Yokohama's.

I don't want flats, cut throughs etc, wheeling or otherwise. In my experience, E's work fine for the rather hard wheeling I like to do, the towing and monkey business of life my truck sees. They also last forever or so it seems.

Okay, so I did some searching this afternoon and found some pictures of Tacoma's with my wheels, offset and different width tires. Might be okay with 12.5s which solves my issue as there are a lot more options there...

What's the UCA clearance like with 12.5" tires and that wheel size/offset? Just curious, I never looked into that but would imagine it'll be getting tight.

But yeah break out your saw and hammer. You're gonna be a pro masseuse of metal lol.
