That’s not bringing anything up. Your truck was probably built and assigned an actual VIN.

I ordered a white Pro Manual Transmission in March 2022 from two different dealers with 500 dollar deposits both places .(Northern Wisconsin.)
They both said it would be a year before I would see it.
They both said I was #1 in line for the Pro because no one wanted to wait.
Late October I called both dealers and talked to different sales people than the ones I ordered from .
One place said yes I was still #1 on the list , the other person oh yes I see you on the list your #2.
So I Canceled my order with that dealer ship, they tried selling me different color trucks with automatic transmission etc .I finally stopped talking to them altogether.
The other dealership called me in March and said there was zero chance I would get a MT Pro of any color this year after waiting a year on the list but I could have a automatic transmission one in I think blue.
I had enough, I canceled the Pro and told them I wanted a stripped OR white MT.
That was in March, it’s been built and was seen in Dilworth Mn on the 17th of this month on a train.
Expected date to arrive at the dealership which is about 200 miles from Dilworth is the middle of May.
It’s been a long wait just to get a manual transmission truck and I’m sure going to enjoy it if it ever gets here. if it shows up in May it will be 14 months and I still didn’t get the Pro but at least I got something

Thanks @DragonPro23 , you are correct. My salesman said they took it off the system to avoid all the calls. This particular dealer is located in a smaller town and understand why they would have their service department closed down on the weekends. I am excited to pick up the Taco next week! Thanks again!

My red TRD Sport DCSB finally showed up on Toyota Tracker, but is still being shown in the allocation stage. We are now 78 days since build...
I was told it should be in Houston next week. Dave, @DragonPro23, can you please run another check for me?

Researching Toyota logistics is rather interesting. It appears that Lazaro Cardenas is the major entry port for the parts to build the trucks,
so it makes sense that they would move some of the overflow there awaiting the parts to complete the full build. I just hope by now the parts
for mine arrived, have been installed on the truck, and it is on a train on its way up north. This report should be telling.
Thanks again for all the help, Dave!

FYI. Toyota Tracker often shows a vehicle in allocation status and the vehicle is actually already built and in transit. DragonPro23 data is the real deal.

Expect a vehicle to sit at the Houston VPC for 7-10 days before it is shipped by truck to you in Louisiana.

Now I have to question the sanity of the folks at Toyota. They put the truck on a ship to go from Mexico to Houston. I wonder where this truck is really going.

Thanks, Dave. The more I learn, the more I am left scratching my head...

That is very odd. I also had mine delivered to Houston VPC and it went via rail.

Your truck must go to Houston because your selling dealer is in the Gulf States dist. region and the Gulf States VPC is in Houston (e.g. install port accessories/options). Your truck will go from the VPC to LA. via USAL truck. Gulf States owns USAL trucking.

That's the point. It needs to get to Houston. Why would you truck a vehicle to the big port on the pacific coast of Mexico, then load it on a ship? The direct route is through rail from Guanajuato to Laredo, then Houston. It is now on a ship, then will be delivered to a rail terminal where it is expected to take two weeks to get to its destination, which is presumably Houston. Very interesting way to get there.

Update: The Jasper Arrow vehicle carrier ship left Lazaro Cardenas on the 26th, and is currently bound for the Port of Long Beach, due in around the 1st. There is a lot of rail traffic from Southern California to the Houston and Memphis areas. Add to that an unsubstantiated rumor of a rail car carrier shortage in Mexico, and it may start to make sense that the Taco is being shipped to Houston through Los Angeles. It would be interesting to know if there are other Tacos using the same route bound for Houston. We should know sometime late next week.

    The mystery deepens...
