That will be out for me. When we have our summer trip starting that weekend depending on work events.

 

Now you know why I was looking at them hard. Still tempted.

The unfortunate side of a solar farm are having to put the fences up because of dumbass humans that try to steal equipment and think that a solar farm won't hurt you. My company does our best to preserve the wildlife and wetlands. Some landowners that want to sell for solar use end up finding out a farm cannot be built because of the indigenous wildlife.

One thing to note is deer, boar and other wildlife are still found inside farms after fencing is up. One site tried to use goats to keep the grass under the array panels down lol

All of the solar arrays have to run north/south. They are motorized to rotate east/west that follow the sun. They also are connected to an onsite weather station that will allow them to turn past vertical to protect themselves from hail. I like the highway idea but I'm not sure it'd be feasible. Most farms have substations built onsite or they are located near an existing substation.

Now that’s all wrong! On the Tacoma forum you’re supposed to post about being all giddy getting to drive your truck today. Then on the Honda bike forum you fuss about not getting to ride cause of rain. ​

 

So do you personally have any solar? I know Alabama power kinda discourages it through some fees.

I have a few of those solar powered flood lights, does that count? But for some reason they've started working intermittently and no idea why . The panel is clean and no moisture in the plug that I know of.
