I'd be shitting my pants wobbling like that at those speeds. Is that normal for wet track racing? I've never watched bike racing...so forgive me if I sound like a noob!

Just think, the NASCAR **** would be in the pits. And they have four tires and a windshield.

That first video was awesome. I love the way he just backs it into the corners without breaking a sweat, amazing.

PRETTy sure the DRZ sm is on a hiatus or canx. Can't find a 2010 or 11 in the catalog.

I want a wrx250x. Probably about the same power to weight ratio.. what did I get instead? Another 650 vstar. Fun and all, but not the same.
Maybe I should super my KLR650. Wife has the 230m? the crf super moto. Not powerful, but a dirt bike with super street tires.. awesome. Literally have a scab on my knee from riding that to work a couple weeks ago.

BTW.. if you think your jeans will soak up any road, think again. Cotton is THE WORST!

those KLR's are tanks, I would look for something a bit lighter to SM.

the WR would be cool but that race motor sure requires a lot of maintenance on the valves and such. The DRZ is just so reliable and easy to maintain.

Of course I have a forum acquaintance on another forum that managed to crash his supermotard then get his ass run over a bit. Traction for quite a while.

hmm, I always thought the WR had the yz250f motor in it, which are by far the most reliable of the 4 stroke MX motors but still, a race motor.

I never did much research on them though so I could be wrong.

Here is a quick pic of mine, DRZ400SM, FCRMX 39 carb, full Yoshi TRC pipe, Cylinder Works big bore kit (440ccs), HotCams Stage 1, (both intake and exhaust) Zeta levers, wide pegs, and other mods I can't think of at this point in time. I've had bikes my whole life (on and offroad), first in 1968, and this thing is the most fun of any of them. You can't go anywhere without looks and people asking all sorts of questions.
