    No breaks!

Hey man, my tundra needs a 9100 bracket.....

I know, I know, you would rather work on it directly :) One day I'll get to scoping it out.

I also kinda wonder if maybe I can stuff the power module in cab. They make longer positive leads, up to 6' I believe. I think that would get me pretty close to the back of the cab.

I wish I could say I had "gone fishing" or "working on my own truck mods" but I'll be referring small boys while they fight, argue and annoy each other. At least it'll be warmer and at least my dad owns a Tacoma now (an '06 DCSB 4.0 2wd, decent rig)

Somewhat related, I currently have 8 slices on my hands. Part is that my skin is not used to the cold PNW winter temps, I grew up in Hawaii and my ancestors came from a warm climate. Part is that I'm a bit of an idiot with gloves (getting better though) and I despise lotion (but I'm working on that phobia too). So, a one week break to heal my trashed hands, particularly the slices on my fingertips, it will go to good use.

I've bought a couple harnesses from FBC and now I can't seem to remember what FBC stands for... anyone?

The first rule of FBC is you don’t talk about FBC.

Hey David, I would really like to order a headlight harness from you and was wondering if you ship to Canada? When I put my address in on your site it says address is not supported.

Browsing around the store, I know I am wanting a t harness for grill lights and v5 switchback. But, I had a couple question.

    1. I will be running grill lights and the V5 switchbacks. Will the dim and bright DRL in the V5s function the same as the dim and bright DRL on the OEM headlights?

    2. I will be getting some DD light pods and would want a lead to connect the backlights, and possibly another lead for a future mods. Should I get a second t-harness for the passenger side, do you already produce a harness that can do this, or do I need a custom ordered harness?

    thank you

    1. Yes, when DRL is on, the C will be bright white and the v5’s as well. When off (once low beams activated) while parking lights are on, both go dim.

    2. Dual harnesses are cleanest but most expensive. Also possible to do a dual backlight harness from a single side (typically driver) which has a 12” for that side and 60” for the other side. That means a lead across the grille but saves a few $’s.

Actually, sorry, I think the v5’s have low trump high? So with parking lights on but low beams off, the v5’s will be dim and the headlights still bright. I forgot about that, having sold off my v5’s.

The Oem headlights have DRL trump parking lights.

I kind of like running parking lights at dawn since it’s full DRL plus some sidemarker and the silly TRD lit up.

To get v5’s exactly matching, I think we would have to swap low beams for parking lights but just for the v5 feed. Possible if someone wants that but more complicated and less standard.

My goal would be to have the mirror DRLs dim when the headlights turn on, and bright during the day with headlights off, like the DRLs in the OEM headlights.

On a side note (hopefully you might know) I have the newer version puddle pods that has an extra lead for the V5s inside the side mirror. Does that just feed the blinker on the V5s, or is it intended to mirror the same function as the puddle pods for the DRL?

It's either-or, feed v5's from puddle system (drl on with ignition, dim when parking light is on) vs feed v5's from v5 harnesses tied to real DRL (only difference then is DRL is off when stalk is off even if ignition is on).

The difference in behavior between headlight DRL and v5 bright/dim is only when parking lights are on (and low beams off). All other modes match up.
