According to Exit Offroad, it's a lift. I.E., an Access Cab truck will only achieve 1 inch of lift from a shock that will lift a Double Cab 2 inches.

so if the same suspension on a lighter truck gives it a 1 inch lift, then the pro suspension (that gives a 1 inch lift on the heavy double cab) will net a even higher lift on the lighter access cab.

No lift, but it will handle a lot better.

So I read where you got that quote about not lifting the access cab from.

"***Access cab 2016+ Tacoma's come 1" taller in the front than dual cabs, so take that into account when choosing lift heights. Lift heights listed are for dual cabs!!"

He is not saying the access cab will get no lift, but rather that the access cab already is higher and the resulting lift will be more than they quoted in the list below.
But the way springs work, the less weight you put on them, the longer they will be. So a pro suspension will infact give a access cab a lift, and a slightly higher lift than a double cab gets.

I asked him about that on the same thread, here's his answer:

"Single cabs lift more with the 4x4 coils because they're lighter
Access cabs came 1" taller than a DCSB, so if you put a 2" DCSB coil on it, you'll only get 1" of lift
All coils are spec'd for DCSB's...C59-300 wouldn't add any lift to an access cab, since it's already lifted 1" more than a dual cab."

I see what your saying, though I would think a coil designed for a heavier truck would result in a slight lift on a lighter truck. The access cab gets its lift from being lighter, the pro gets it lift from a longer stiffer spring. So a longer stiffer spring should in theory give the lighter access cab a slight lift over its stock height.

Eibach came out with longer springs for the pro to help get people who put winches and armor on back up to stock ride height. People like me who dont have winches got those springs and it resulted in a lift over the stock 1 inch because we didnt have all that extra weight.

Correct. The pro suspension was made for the dual cab, and with a lighter weight access cab, you'll get more lift than it says.

All the front Dobinsons springs that can fit on a Tacoma from C59-314 and down are the same spring rate (586LBF/in), just different heights. Even 1st gen taco's use the same rate springs, just different heights.

Picked up a free set of rears. Worth rebuilding? Also- will they work on a 2015 TRD Sport?
    Thanks for any help!

My choice would have been Bilstein 5100's up front set @ 1". You would have saved a ton, and had a great setup.

Stock bilsteins are a narrower shock than any of the aftermarket stock replacements from bilstein (4600,5100,6112,8112 in the front).

Yep, nice and cushy for hitting stuff really slow but lots of sway front to back and side to side compared to the 6112s I just switched to, which feel way better cornering and over stuff at speed that used to upset the truck.
