    I got a inspection mirror from a tool vendor at the model railroad show today, I will have a look in the morning. In the past I had a faulty PVC overpressure the crankcase and blow out the rear manifold seal. ( what you're calling the china wall). Thanks for the input on using RTV in place of the gaskets.

    I just unscrew the entire cap/safety spout assembly and use a funnel to fill the lawn mower and other power equipment, works every time.

    Can you do a plunge cut into the heart of the stump with the chain saw then pour some diesel into the crevice and add some flamage?

    Just be careful. We have had major fires break out here multiple times from stumps that were hit by lightning and the roots smoldered for 8 mos before conditions were right for combustion. The fires always started at the ends of the roots often hundreds of feet away from the stump.
