It will be interesting to see if the Bronco becomes more popular after the 4th gen is released. Even with the trail hunter and Pro models, the Bronco looks more off road oriented. Now if Toyota builds a decent low level trim Tacoma, for people who buy those kind of trucks they might retain their market share, the only problem is there are plenty of lower priced base pick ups available.

I wouldn't be surprised to see GM dethrone Toyota in 2024 or maybe a few more early years of 4th gen Production. Between Bronco on the offroad side of the equation, Frontier wth their NA old school option, domestic 1/2 tons and their relatively close pricing, and GM's direct competion in the midsize segment. Plus Ranger's redisgn and Maveric being relatively new in a segment all it's own.

From a safety standpoint don’t you believe the screen being closer to the roadway field of vision is better than lower?

I do not. That screen should not be referenced often by the driver in the first place. And anything that intrudes into windshield real estate is just not cool.

The 4runner is in the same segment as the Bronco, not the Tacoma.

The new Tacoma that may see supply chain delays combined with plenty of competition from all angles whether it be direct competition from rivals, or pricing on other vehicles could disrupt Tacoma sales numbers. It depends on production numbers, this an all new Truck that has never seen production at either factory, one of which is factory that has been building 3rd gens for only a few years. I still haven't heard where the 4g will be built. New Tundra production is rather low, and to Toyota retailers benefit rather slow too.

Toyota reliability and consumer demand isn't going to be as a much of a factor, as pricing and availability of ptoduct. Will be to 4g Tacoma ssles. There will also be internal competition from 5th gen 4R, as Toyota old school loyalists might choose 4R over 4g, not a bad thing for Toyota, and the ever growing segment of EV that could bite at Tacoma sales.

Point being production capacity will probably be at an ATL and competion from all angles will be at an ATH.

Not entire, and I explained the over lap in the OR segment. I wouldn't say that it's substantial, but there is some competition in the market place between Bronco 4drs gussied up for off road and a DCSB Tacoma gussied up for Offroad.

Aren't they the only millennials and gen Zs buying concert tickets, recorded music, and products to liten to that music?

Supposedly most don’t care about getting their drivers license, let alone having interest in vehicles. The automobile is the debil to many of them. Main driving force to the destruction of the planet…they aren’t wrong either.

Why would an SUV become more popular because a mid size pickup was released....

It's basically the same thing a 4dr Bronco and DCSB Tacoma, they are both utility vehicles, both have IFS, 4g will also have IRS and a t4 power plant. I guarantee that more people cross shop the Bronco against a DCSB, than they do a 4Runner based on the lower cost of a DCSB Tacoma. 4R has a fixed roof where Bronco has removable hard top or soft top, and DCSB has an open bed. T4R has an optional 3rd row, Bronco and DCSB both only have 1st and 2nd row seating

    T4R wheel base 109.8

Ford Bronco 4dr wheel base 116.1

    DCSB Tacoma wheel base 127.4

The average wheel base for all three vehicles is 10.599" the differnce between the WB of the Bronco & 4R is 6.3" the difference between the Bronco and DCSB Tacoma is 11.3" putting the WB difference betwen Bronco & Taco closer to the average wheel base of all three vehicles then the difference in WB between 4R & Bronco.

The Bronco and DCSB Tacoma are more comparable vehicles than T4R and Bronco. Whether it's wheel base length, pricing, versatility, and capability.

As I matter of fact, I do!

These leaked interior shots of a lower Tacoma trim with the smaller built in dash head unit, have been floating around for a while now.

Since the Sequoia lost the IRS and gained a solid with the new TNGA-F platform, highly improbable that the 4R is getting IRS, since the 4R will most likely move to the TNGA-F too.
