When fly-by-wire came out for commercial airliners, they learned that the cockpit cannot be a George-Jetson-pushbutton-affair and made all of the digital look analog.

I prefer to ask in a pleasant tone equal to the task and ambient noise level, "Javier my good man, this song is the dog's bollocks. Please increase the volume straight away. There's a good chap!"

The Tacoma media controls are the best of the best I've never once messed up changing the volume or accidently skipped a track.

Had a Fiat 500 Abarth, the steering wheel audio controls were superior to even the Ferd ones, IMO. They put 'em on the back of the wheel.

The Dodge Lariat I had for a Short Time had them on the back of the wheel. I didn't know it until one day I hit one of the buttons without knowing and the radio station changed LOL. It took a little bit to figure them out.

The Tesla is pure trash. It’s just a wheel missing the upper half. I’ve always wondered why Tesla drivers can’t make a three point turn or park their cars, this goes along way to explain it.

The Lexus is speed sensitive but that just makes it twitchy af. Great for a race car, not so much a luxury crossover.

Can we have cars designed and engineered by car guys and not computer nerds again?

Everyone tries to be original it seems, my wife’s forester is so confusing, had it 6 months and still don’t know what everything does, granted, I don’t drive it all that often.

There are 2 things I’m pissed my Tacoma doesn’t have in comparison to a 2021 Ford Transit Connect XLT work van I had.
    1. It had rain sensing windshield wipers. The Subaru doesn’t have it either (Limited). With all the eyesight/safety sense shit, why not??? In the Ford, worked awesome. Can’t stand toggling between intermittent speeds, like I’m in my first gen.

    2. The Qi charging pad was awesome, even with a phone case and it had a removable rubber pad. The Tacoma one is a complete piece of shit.

You mean they didn’t take a steering wheel stereo button control thread four pages in two days? The nerve.

That's because they abandoned their fords and now they're posting on the Rivian forums.

Yeah I guess that can be an issue. The 3.5 did drive nice, Toyota went with a similar twin turbo 3.4 engine and a ten spd transmission in the new Tundra which seems kind of odd when they had the best V8 available in a 1/2 ton.

If I was going to pay 80 or 90k for an F-150 I might just go for a Rivian myself.

As much as some people complain about the media controls, it seems so important to them that perhaps they should have just bought another vehicle.
