Triumphing over the forces of evil here.

Of course SPC didn't send complete assemblies so I'm sure I'll be warrantying the BJs soon enough.

Not a chance. 6k miles means that things been sitting for probably 10 ish years no movement.

Things that are supposed to be lubricated by movement - corroded. Things that are supposed to be active - worn down from sitting (tires). Fluids - wouldn't surprise me if some have separated to some extent. Rubbers and plastics have thermal cycled with the weather same as a 10 year old truck that's been used the whole time.

These things are not the godsend finds people think they are. If you're reolacing the entire drivetrain and suspension hell yeah. Frame and body are probably mint.

Guy says his retired FIL bought it, drove it to church except in bad weather. Sold in for his MIL.

Who here mounted their midland radio? Mind showing me where you put yours?

I was thinking to mount mine to the top above the wireless phone charger. Kind of like that small blue light though

BaT is where people sell mundane vehicles for silly money.

That being said, that's the site where you end up seeing the market start to swing like crazy on some of the more desirable models. I have to believe that the six figure Supras started there and when the average person saw the prices people were getting there they started pricing their vehicles in line with those prices.

I miss when it was simply a site highlighting interesting vehicles for sale, not a high dollar eBay for cool cars.

If it's been constantly moving and coming up to temp then i guess a good score.

I just did math. If I drove my truck to and from work every day and that was it. Over ten years it would be 7050 miles. Mine doesn't get up to temp every time in the winter though.

And that's JUST work 3 miles each day.

Meh. Maybe. Lot of worries with low mileage old vehicles like that though.

    Plasti derped alloys.

That’s crazy. I think I paid $32K for mine new. If I could find a clean low mileage 2nd gen double cab I would buy it but not for that amount of money.

Who would have ever thought that a mass produced truck would go up in value? Crazy!

Not sure what these are from, I was told they don't fit a 2nd gen tacomas. My neighbor gave them to me for free because he was going to scrap them. Looks like it has been repainted before but hey free is free... Located near Manchester, NH.

First gen tacoma is what they are off of. Cant get them on 2nd gen or later without some good sized spacers

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
My BIL has a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 that he's going to sell that only has 40K on it. I know the mileage is legit because he's the original owner. He only drives to and from work, to the market etc. He doesn't drive it to his dad's house because they are neighbors or to my mother's house because they just walk (about 1/4 mile).

Anyway he doesn't have a need for his truck anymore as he's just going to use my sister's brand new VW Taos. My sister passed away suddenly last week. She had was only 54. FUCK Cancer!
