I wanted to be sure that the drive shaft should still be in spec and that it looks like a good set up for the money. I might could do the aal myself but I honestly have no idea. That price includes alignment. should I worry about installing ecgs? Is it a must? I appreciate the input and time!

Can't say if it's good for the money. Looks like that shop charges $150/hr - depends where you live whether that's a good deal or not. You'll have to decide that yourself, especially if you don't have the ability to do it yourself. As you can see the parts themselves are relatively inexpensive, 50% of your costs are labor.

Wouldn't be a bad time to also do the ECGS as cheap future insurance. If you are only lifting 1.5" then it's not a must but it doesn't hurt. Doing it later you'd have to take many of the same parts apart, why not do it at the same time?

Driveshaft itself should be fine. Driveshaft bad angles that cause vibrations? No idea, no two trucks are the same. You might need angle shims for the leafs but you won't know until the shop gets it all installed and measures. Most likely you'll be fine though.

Thank you. I don't have all the tools necessary to do the job. I'm all about buying new tools how ever I don't see where I would really use the past install. I have a jack but it's basically good enough for a tire change, impact driver, don't have torque wrenches that go high enough for some of the specs, I have a few different socket sets but I know I'd have to procure the proper sizes especially for the ecgs part so factoring all that in I don't know if it's worth to huy all the tools then do it myself or just have a shop do it. I'm gonna call around some more to see about price

I have paralysis analysis. I feel as though if I lift it I'm gonna mess up my truck lmao. But I want to lift it lol

Depending where you are there may be a local guy that does lift installs. There are quite a few here on Tacomaworld. I'd check your local section to see if there are any reputable local guys.

I would charge approx. $450 labor for the complete lift. So basically half what the shop is charging. I understand why some would feel more comfortable with an actual shop doing the work, so to each their own.

Depending on where you live most shops are around $100-150/hour, so the estimate sounds about right.

The rear is pretty easy to do yourself if you are handy at all, just watch a couple YouTube videos before. No specialty tools are needed.
Tools you need are 14, 17, 19 (deep socket for the u-bolts), 21mm sockets, 14 and 17mm wrenches, jack, 2 jack stands (4 is better), maybe a hammer, vise grip pliers, 2 large c-clamps, and torque wrench.

The hardest part is if the top nut on the shock is rusted. When I did mine I sprayed everything with penetrating oil a few hours in advance.
Going slowly it took me about 3.5 hours to install new leaf packs and shocks.

You should buy a torque wrench that goes to 100 ft/lbs, that way you can check your lug nuts after you get your tires rotated.
And the large c-clamps are handy if you ever change your brake pads.

If you aren't in California or Arizona finding locals on here might be challenging. For finding locals I joined my area's Facebook group.

Where are you located? We have a mod day thread in the north east. Install dam near anything and have a great time.
