Oil on floor mat from steering

    Found a spot of oil on driver floor mat. I think it’s coming from under the dash at steering. Any guesses . Looks like it’s coming from between the shaft and that letter S.

    Looks to me if its grease inside the steering shaft that lubricates the bearing. Are you in area where the temp gets real hot turning the grease to a liquid ?

    Yes I’m in fl , never had a prob in past. I’m pretty sure it’s oil and not grease that melted.looks like there is a seal there. But not sure

    There is no oil in the shaft that I know of, its just a light weight grease ?

    Got rotors and brakes done about a week ago. Didn’t bleed brakes was just a swap. Brakes seem fine. Could that maybe be an issue. If not I’ll just ride out until something goes bad.

    I would think it is most likely to break fluid gun on the steering shaft is working it’s way into the interior
