"Old Scripps", at least you are not a "South Sider". Your old man doesn't happen to be an Old Pro is he?

Anyone in SD can help take a look at my buddies 85 pickup w/ 22r?
hasnt driven it in maybe a year as it was jumped with the battery cables swapped, and something got fried. it turns, no spark. I haven't physically seen the truck or tried anything yet. maybe mothers day weekend.

I know he's been reading, and switching some stuff to try and find the issue but kind of at a dead end.
Anyone in South SD can recommend a person/shop? Yes he is aware of the truck shop where he took it last to get some things fixed.

agreed. He taken the truck there for other misc work on the same truck. Just wants to find someone in south SD or a local mechanic before he ends up towing up north to them.I dont know what he's replaced so far. I believe only dist and cap. and checked whatever fuses that were able to be checked.
Need to check all grounds and wires to see what happened.

Hope someone can at least get it up and running, but like Harry Said James at the Truck shop is the right choice.

There is an old school shop off of Mission Gorge Road (Mission Valley Foreign Auto Repair), Chuck Kaufmann and his wife Linda run the place. Small shop, a bit slow in turnaround. But, he is honest and knows his stuff. I've known him and used his shop on and off for close to 30 years. Last vehicle I took to him for TLC was a 79 VW bus that had sat for 11 years. He brought it back to life for me. Get your buddy to call 2 bit tow to take it over to Chuck for a look.
You can find it on Yelp, you'll see a photo of my old bus. I also took my Tacoma with a 22r to him for work. Good luck.

Just seeing if anyone has some they don't use, aka freebies. If not I'll just make my own. Police gave me a ticket because my tires stick out too much
which is hilarious since trucks and jeeps all around me have tires so far past their fenders, mine are tame

This happen here in SD? :facepalm:I'm surprised the overzealous CHP hasn't gave me a hard time. No front license plate, no mud flaps and no flares with a decent offset. Lol

    Knock on wood

Maybe because you had "Godzilla" cranked up on your stereo is the reason they stopped you?

I just had a new SUA LT rear installed and got a ticket 1 day after and on the day I was going to re-install my rear flaps. Was a CHP too.
