Oh, no that bridge is in Maine. The on ramp in kittery. They turn back onto route 1 using the visitor center just over the river and reset.

    Red highlights.

There's a campground in Acton Maine that some of the group stays at. I go up to old orchard beach and hang out there for a couple days then tag up on the way up. As it gets closer we'll figure out the campsite situation.

I was saying from the Maine boarder (the large bridge over the piscataqua river) to the Maine tolls is a speed trap. But so is the 95 strip in NH

    Hah oh. Yeah that too.

The tolls are gone!!! They wiped them out last year for a high speed setup instead. And it's 4 bucks each way now.

Yeah Maine made their waters better over time so black fly season is no longer a season it's just all year. The old timers who talk about how the flies are getting worse are actually right, they're getting more and more every year - especially up in the woods. They don't bite though, they're just annoying as hell. Bug net hat goes a long way.

Skeeters on the water is a different story.

Nah that's fair. My memory is shot, I just looked back at that thread to see the dates and say that I couldn't go, and I had (1) quoted you in it, and (2) mentioned this trip and how it overlaps already

    :pccoffee:

207 Overland's NBOR is the next weekend, though!

I am thinking I might be back in Time from the Loop to hit NBOR. It would make for a decent end to fun week.

Been all over that area and up into Canada driving or snowmobile. Frankly it doesn't get any better than that if you like the outdoors. It is a big state with very few people. I'm an hour NW of Portland looking right at Mt Washington.

Oh man. Sounds awesome. I’ll follow this thread. I’d like to come but need to see if we will be West at this time, but I’m thinking that’s in September. Probably definitely solo coming from Pittsburgh, PA

    Is @SR-71A going?

I would try to go, but already going to Maine in June on the motorcycle. All back roads, no highways - from Binghamton NY to Canada

Its unlikely. This will be getting close to my September Colorado trip.

Not sure what your route in June looks like, but hit me up if you're coming by anywhere around the midcoast / Route 1 area!

I don't think ill be coming near the coast. Might actually try to meet my friend that lives in Acadia, but not sure yet.

The Maine route takes us from Gorham NH to Rangeley ME, and then back into northern NH and up to the Canada border.

Looking forward to going through the white mountains and the blue mountains! Ill definitely post plans of the route getting closer to when I leave. Or it can be seen here:
