be aware 4 runner TRD wheels don't fit later year Tacomas. Not sure when it changed but I know 2021's have fitment issues. They are starting to recall Tacomas with factory installed 4runner wheels here in Hawaii.

The 4Runner 2021 and up wheels have the fitment issues. Mine are 2020 wheels and fit fine.

The wheels for 2021 4Rs were updated. They do not clear the hubs on the rear axle shafts of the Tacoma. A common fix to run them is to sand down the the hubs. Some choose to machine out the bore of the wheel deeper instead.

Don't take offense but did you consult the internet when picking your spouse or partner? Everyone has a preference and they are all different which is why they make a million wheels

I have some 2018 OEM TRD Pro wheels for sale in the bay area if you're interest. They're 16s but in great shape. Have the black OEM lug nuts too.

As far as lightweight wheels, TRD or EVO Dakar Corse for minimal poke and change in scrub radius. EVO has a 17x8 +20 @ 26.5 lbs... FSW if you want more poke.
Depends what you mean by poke...

Personally, I'd prefer TRD or FSW to keep it true hubcentric...TRD gets the edge because I don't like changing poke/scrub radius too much from factory spec.
    17x7.5 +30...same spec as a Sport model wheel; shouldn't be a problem.

Ah, I forgot to mention about the +21 4Runner Pro wheels having the fitment issue. I remedied mine by grinding a bevel on the rear axle hubs and honestly, it took longer than I thought to get it just right. If I had it to do over again, I would have purchased APG repos.

Here's a link to APG wheels that have repos (reproductions) that bolt up without issue and are a 17 x 8".

True as long as he doesn't go too crazy on tire size but the +30 doesn't always provide the look many folks want.

Michelin LTX is a great tire. Discount tire has the LTX A/T 2’s basically cheaper than wholesale right now. Waiting for my FN fxPro wheels in dark gloss gunmetal to come in!

I'm in south Florida and got mine from Tire Kingdom. Decent price and they did a good job with the mounting and balancing. The closest Discount Tire to me is over 50 miles away.
