24 on, off 48. Yesterday wasn't too bad. We did some training with a ladder company during the morning and only made about 6 calls. All BS. down fall was that they were all after 10 pm

This is for you @Brian422 , got some yard mowing in . Got my fast charger in and added a little something to the grill that lights up at night with my lights .
David Easa helped me out to make it a plug and play gadget.

@gixxerphil you ever eaten these as glucose tablets lol. I had a diabetic friend who ate them all the time when his blood sugar got low. I eat em cause they good!

 

I haven't had those in years. I never think to look for those when my blood sugar is low. I usually grab the first candy thing I get to

 

They are good cause they have lines that you can cut them up into fourths, halves etc.

 

Yeah....if I open something......Imma finish it.....ain't no saving it for later

In a medical sense........I don't know if those have ever been suggested
That paste they suggest is horrible.

In reality, we should eat more complex carbs as that won't spike the high blood sugars. I use to keep saltine crackers and pb with me.

 

Lol, our trainer on the track team at samford would give them to some of the diabetic guys on the team. Lol

 

Any sugary candy will work, but it spikes a high blood sugar a lot of times. The best thing for me was always crackers and pb. It brought it up and kept a more "level" range.

It's amazing how far all that has come. When I was first diagnosed, carbs weren't even counted. I didn't even have a glucose monitor....it was test strips that I had to wipe the blood and wait 1 minute and then get a basic range of what it was

Now I can scan a sensor in my arm with my phone and know exactly what it is.
