    Cheaper for a prepainted i think but probably better quality getting it painted locally.

    You could always go the route of getting a black hood wrap too. Color doesn't matter then, just the best deal you can find.

    Good point.
    I was thinking about wrapping the new hood skewp in black with a black fang decal/wrap, but that would take more money and time for sure.

    Yep... Had local body shop order scooped hood (I ordered OEM scoop off of eBay) paint (perfect match on MGM color) the hood. installed myself. Cheaper than the Houston area outfit that paints and ships.

    Can't find what I paid... and I've slept since then.... but I think it was $300-400 less then what Revmoto is/was asking. Local body shop ordering the hood saves you on the shipping hit from like a Revmoto. Also body shop painted the hood on both sides like factory. Revmoto was offering top side paint only.

    Yeah, I was estimating about 2k, give or take for myself. It seems a hood can be had from the dealer (or body shop) for about 700ish for all parts, I figured body shop would charge a 1k to paint.

    This is the way I was gonna go as well.
