What concerts have you seen recently?

I'll take a stab, was that on Slayer's final tour? That was incredible.

So far they're stopping here in August 2024 with Metallica.

 

When I saw Phil? It was Aftershock 2019 in Sacramento.

I’m a Zakk Wylde fan so the reunion tour should be awesome

 

I saw them in November 19. Phil/Illegals, Ministry, Primus, Slayer. Incredible all over, though it felt surreal when Slayer finished the set.

Hoping to get to the reunion as I never got to see Pantera.

A couple months ago I went to Roger waters this not a drill tour in Vancouver.

 

I've seen Roger Waters twice and both times it was probably the best concert of the year. Even with nose bleed seats.

 

Zakk, 2017, Hendrix Review, Fun, CA. Playing Little Wing in audience. First time I ever heard of him. I'm an old guy. Badass. (Zakk, not me. )

 

2022, Crypto Center, LA, Roger Waters. This show was dystopian throughout. A little dark, but stunning and moving. Saw The Wall circa ~2016 or so from nosebleed seats. Not this one! I'm a photographer, but always stuck with phone images at these big shows. This one turned out great for an S20.

 

Wife and I saw Queensryche (what passes for them nowadays) and Judas Priest (what's left of them) in mid-November. Pretty damn good show. Halford is inhuman! 71 years old, can still blow the roof off with his voice. Damn!

 

I didn't get to this tour but have seen both in recent years. Shame that 'Ryche and Geoff seem to be done with each other permanent..

 

Agreed. The current vocalist has a pretty good vocal range, so a decent replacement for Tate, but their style with him isn't the same. Of course I believe both original guitarists are also gone, so why even call themselves 'Queensryche' anymore is a head scratcher to me.

I've seen them a few times many years back, early 80's when they were new, and then couple times in the mid 90's "Hear in the Now Frontier" era.

 

I wish I had seen them in the 80s. Though I've been lucky to see the Mindcrime Suite twice. Once in about 2005-6 (drove 3-4 hours each way). The other time after MC2 came out..they did the first one, took an intermission, did the second.
