Celebrating my 12 year retirement for military service today.

April Fool's Day of all days. lol

Anyhow, next weekend/Friday, we will be in Toronto for the DM concert.

It's been a busy 2+ weeks with having Covid the week of our 33rd wedding anniversary (Mar 20-24).

Everything is confirmed for next weekend...it will be a new experience visiting Canada.

    Monday workday is done!

All our hotel bookings are set and now it's just a matter of slowing down my pace at work.

It will be good to get away for an extended weekend.

Today was the last day of work this week.

Just watched the most recent episode of Ted Lasso...since it it Wednesday.

Wife & I prepared our travel meals...sandwiches, chips, granola bars, sliced fruits/vegetables.

Tanked up the Elantra...even put her thru the quick wash at Royal Farms.

Last minute packing and we should be ready for an early departure...NLT 8am. (That's early for my wife) lol

Listening to my Memento Mori album and having a beer.

So glad I don't have to wake up at 4:50am to be at work for 6am.

Time to disconnect from work and have fun with my wife.

Today, I received an email from USAA regarding an uprise in stolen vehicles and catalytic converters.

Even though I'm leaving my Talon CAT protected Sport at home, I know Hyundai cars are targets because of the lack of security on engine disabling.

Fortunately, the push-button start on our Elantra has a kill-switch which disables the engine--same principle applies to my push-button Sport.

I can focus more on safe driving and getting my wife and I to locations without having to worry too much; taking precautions of course.

    Well, dang!

    It must be Friday.

We’re fortunate to be able to use international roaming on Mint Mobile!

Long story short, we stressed a little at about getting to Toronto without Mint service at 1pm today.

Without going into details, we overcame!

Our hotel is right in front of the ScotiaArena!

I forgot how much I don’t enjoy city traffic.

Nevermind, we are here for DM and that’s the focus!

    WooHoo!!!!

Welcome to Canada. Enjoy your stay and concert. Yeah I hear TO is a very busy town. I avoid Vancouver like the plague.

    Thanks!

I want to stay positive...but heavy vehicle traffic can be quite challenging. That's all I'll say about that.

The concert was great! We wore ear plugs considering how close we were to the stage.

Dave & Martin sang their hearts out!

The Mint Mobile thing caused an hour delay after entering Canada. We got to Toronto and our hotel with plenty of time to spare.

Today is another day. Time to get ready for breakfast and decide what our plans are for the day.

We did the CN Tower and Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto today. Wife enjoyed both activities and so did I.

There's a hockey game on tonight and lots of Montreal fans are here supporting their team!

Time to leave Toronto. Of course, wife is still sleeping.

I'll start getting ready and remind my wife that breakfast is waiting...somewhere.

    Good morning TW!

This month marks 2 years of ownership for my Sport.

Truck has just gone over 19K miles and is my daily driver.

I put my truck on ramps yesterday to inspect the underside...I'm impressed, still very clean with almost no rust!

I'll have to re-torque the TRD Skid & Talon Skid bolts this month as well as do an oil change.

My Tacoma has had cosmetic changes in appearance: OEM LED Headlights, vintage grill w/raptor lights, fender flares, front window tint, window guards.

There is pride & joy every time I approach my truck to set off on a trip.

I'm very pleased with the performance & ownership of my Tacoma. :)

Welp, I went over the 20K mile mark yesterday driving up to Wilmington, DE and back to Dover.

My 2 year mark is this Sunday so that makes it roughly 10K miles per year...that's what I estimated for insurance.

I have enjoyed ownership and look forward to many more happy driving miles!

In Honor of my 2 year Anniversary.

The only sticker I have put on my truck...well worth it thanks to DM in Toronto & Niagra!
