    back to bone stock.
i had my u-joints and carrier bearing changed.

now i have an ever slightly buzz at 65-70mph. think they didnt mark the original driveshaft position? shop is cool and wants it back to mitigate, but that is a PIA. i have kayak fishing i have to do. :(

i'll get it in back, soon. just wanted some thoughts from you "BTDT" types.

IF the tacoma 2 piece shaft isn't unique to most, it should slip apart easily and can be adjusted by moving spline to spline.

If it's off just a little, via visually sight, you'll see ujoint misalignment. Should be that straight forward unless the 2 pieces were installed 180* off.

I read somewhere about the drive shaft needs to be in phase?

I don’t have the any knowledge about that.

Did they use quality u-joints and carrier bearing? If so then yeah that sounds like out of phase. If they used store brand parts then that might be the problem instead.

The 2 shafts ujoint orientation must be the same. In other words when you look down the shaft the ujoint aren't out of parallel with each other
