    When it comes to poison ivy, oak, sumac, and chiggers, I will agree. I’m a weenie.
    I hate stuff that makes me itch. And here we are in the season where all those are starting to come out. Already got in to the deer ticks cutting out some English ivy. Don’t ever plant that stuff. It takes over. And is a bear to clean up.

    I am pleased to report that as of today (May 1st, 2023), masks are no longer required in the waiting room at my therapist's office! For the longest time, I was seeing my therapist by FaceTime, and then they allowed us to start having in-person therapy sessions again; I first got vaccinated in March 2021, but masks were still required regardless of vaccination status.

    Months ago, I started blatantly disregarding the mask mandate and nobody said a word; I have Aspergers Syndrome and sensory issues from the AS make wearing a mask really difficult for me, so my therapist fully understood. My therapist informed me during a session last Friday that masks will no longer be required in the waiting room on May 1st!

    I posted pictures of this 1980 Ford Mustang in a couple of Facebook groups I'm in, and somebody commented that there was a virtually identical one at the Classic Auto Mall. That was back in late January, but when I was there with @Stitchgirl90 , I found that it was still there! These are Mustangs are both MY1980, both 4-banger/automatic, and both have the same color combo. The biggest difference I could see is that the one at the Classic Auto Mall (pictured below) does not have air-conditioning. The one at Gateway Classic Cars does have A/C...

    Might be what the original owner was going for, but they couldn't afford a real Pace Car replica...

    I wanted to modify this plan as little as possible and see what I could do without expanding the footprint. The kitchen was too small to accomodate a dishwasher, so I bumped out the kitchen a little bit; I also relocated the washer and dryer to the basement, and added a gas fireplace.

    I have lived in many 2-story homes that only had one central A/C unit for the whole house, so even though it is barely over 1,200 square feet if the basement is not included, I opted to go with dual 1.5-ton/18,000 BTU air-conditioners. These would be matched with either 36K or 40K BTU gas furnaces, both located in the basement. What often happens in a 2-story home is that you have to freeze out the 1st floor in order to keep the 2nd floor tolerable during the summer. According to an online load calculator, this square footage only requires a 2-ton/24,000 BTU air-conditioner, but if the 1st and 2nd floors are calculated separately, a 1.5-ton is required for each; I really wanted to add a second full bathroom, but at the same time I want to keep the third bedroom...

    Going back to the whole universal masking thing, the primary reason my therapist gave for masks being mandatory regardless of vaccination status was that some patients and staff members were worried about getting COVID from unmasked individuals; I'm just going to be blunt and brutally honest here...

    I DON'T CARE! :luvya::D
    I am fully vaccinated, I am fairly healthy, I have never had COVID, I do not have any symptoms, and I have the aforementioned autism sensory issues; I see no point in wearing a mask in a routine situation. My neighbor is a registered nurse and had to dress up like Walter White in Breaking Bad (hazmat-like suit with mask and oxygen/air filtration) when she was dealing with confirmed COVID positive patients back in 2020. It is now May 2023, so I think it's way past time to start acting normal!

    If you want to wear a mask, that's your choice; I cannot wear one for extended periods of time, and it is pointless for me to wear one when I am not sick. N95 masks and professional-style respirators (the latter of which I wear at work from time to time) do not really bother me at all, but the latter makes it hard for people to understand what you are saying; I am a lot more worried about getting stuff in my lungs from removing and disposing of the filters in the paint booth than I am of getting COVID!

    I have no criminal record and have never been arrested, but I got a lot of detentions from 6th grade through 12th grade for stupid reasons; I also feel like I was unnecessarily pushed around during my middle school and high school years, and have been bitched at by egotistical mall cops for taking pictures in the years following my graduation from high school. I really don't like authority; I can tolerate authority for my own good and for the greater good, but I really don't like authority in general. Getting stopped by the Doylestown police for taking pictures over a decade ago was the first major incident that for many years turned a generally dislike of authority into a hatred that burned with the intensity of a thousand suns.

    At least police are trained and generally professional; I almost decked a guy in Mission BBQ three years ago (not even an employee but a perfect stranger) who decided it was his place to get into my personal space lecture me on how to properly wear my mask.

    I do not know what I am going to do if any type of lockdown or mask mandate comes back, because the reaction to COVID-19 really screwed with my mental health!
