    Cheers!

I hear you. Barefoot isn't the optimal solution, just a thing for me that does get laughs from friends.

I think you could use heat to remold the carpet, but I would seek out advice there before trying.

    Good luck!

Frontier would be your best direct competition.

I doubt even seasoned techs would notice/care that your pedal was slightly different if you swapped it out. They'd be looking at clutch internals (if anything) on a warranty claim.

See I'm shorter and I just rest my foot in a different spot depending on how I'm feeling. I've always done that regardless of what brand maker model clutch have been driving. Maybe it's cuz of my seat spacers, but I actually think the taco with the clutch is fairly comfortable. It's not the best stick I've driven... But it's definitely been growing on me for the last four and a half years.

    Adm helped :D

@tonered I drove my truck barefoot for the first time last night on the way home from sand volleyball. It was.... interesting.

    Yeah!

Did you get more feel? Do you think that you'd enjoy it over time?

I think it did have more feel. The drive was only 3 or 4 miles, so not much time to get used to it. But I might try that again next week and see if it grows on me.

Any way to get rid of the AWFUL rev hang?

The problem isn’t really rev hang, it’s that 1 and 2 are far apart. Meanwhile, 4-5-6 are so close together that it can be hard to shift fast enough to do those smoothly before the revs drop further.

I have seen some folks say rev hang is heavily addressed with tunes but personally it never felt any different to me. I haven’t tried a lot of tunes though.

i would not want the revs to fall any faster than they do when I’m shifting between 4-5-6. I do wish 1-2 didn’t take so long but again, there’s a huge gap between those two.

Definitely makes street driving these trucks into an art. That being said, off-road in 4Lo being able to keep it high while shifting really helps out between one and two.

Aye! Just got this gem a few weeks ago. TRD Off Road V6 4X4. Took me ages to find it, but it’s got less than 100K miles so I’m happy.

Wow, good stuff. I'll take a drive in a Gen 4 and if I like it, I may trade my 2022 for one (a year or two down the road).

I've no intention of getting rid of my 17 but it'll be fun to test drive a 4th gen for sure

Unlike many on this forum, I am a fan of smaller turbocharged engines, so if the rest of the package is nice, I'll probably make the switch once the teething problems are worked through.

I am ecstatic they’re keeping it around. I do wonder if they’ll bring the 3.5L with it or if they’re going to pair a manual to one of the new motors. I’m hoping they keep it with the 3.5L but update the trans gearing to give us a good transmission swap option that might bolt right in.
