I use Griots Garage boss pads and compounds. They work really good. I was able to remove heavy paint swirls and scratches from my parents black Mercedes.

Yeah, I had to consciously loosen up a bit, and shook my hand out at a stop. Helped some.

Apparently I need to pay more attention to my chain, noticed that there was a little slip in first gear hard throttle and sure enough I think my chain is loose enough that with quick hard throttle application I jump a tooth.

On the plus side I think the sprocket looks fine.

If it's your pinky and ring fingers going numb first, that points to squishing that nerve and start to think about your position and if you might need to rotate bars or get risers. Pay attention to how your elbows are situated, how the grip fits in your palm, etc.

I'll have to pay special attention next time I'm on the bike.

    Appreciate the tips, guys!

One thing that helps me, especially on longer rides is to change the way my hands grip the bars. I rest my thumbs over the grips as opposed to wrapping them under. (I actually drive with my hands on the steering wheel the same way out of habit.) This way I let my palms and fingers control the throttle and it prevents me from being able to really squeeze on the bars. By the time you notice you’re gripping too hard, your wrists already start to hurt or feel uncomfortable and this keep me consciously aware of my hand position. For street riding or other situations where you need quick reflexes and maneuvering, you can still use a traditional overhand grip to get the push/pull you need to flick the bike on turns, but long rides are way more comfortable for me with the modified grip.

Heavy bar end weights help a lot. If buying them shop carefully. There are a lot of Chinesium bar end available that look cool and offer nice colors but really don't weigh enough to quell vibration. I have a set on my FJR and they weigh almost a full pound each.

You might also try one of those slip on Crampbuster things for your throttle.

    https://www.crampbuster.com/

I had one on my 2007 since it lacked cruise control. Allows you to use the palm more on your throttle and stops you from having to grip so tightly.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    You thinking about getting one?

That chain and sprocket is just about done. Those valleys for teeth are WORN.

Also, kinks in the chain like shown are hard on things.

He said it was easier to just add it all in one place. But I think when I put a gsxr front end on my cafe racer build, it was ~$700. But that was pre-covid

I would also like his front end for my CB750. They've gone up since COVID, last I looked they were $1000+ for wheel/forks/tree/brake system

Jeez! They look so good on the front of a sv650 though. Plus mine already has a nice rear shock

Hard to beat that setup. I had converted my ‘01 650 with a GSXR front end as well. That bike was so fun to ride.
I had the Suburban Machinery bars on it and of course a full race exhaust. Easily one of the best bikes I have owned. Really allows you to become a better rider before biting off more than you should chew.

If any of you would like to roll out to Highland Park for an extended weekend trip.
You’re more than welcome to join me, I got a place to crash in ATL, on the way home if need be. I am just above Asheville and have a trailer, should some want to ride with me.
I have taken my big bike out there and it was a fucking hoot! Not easy by any stretch, but you can always stick to the double track.
While my bikes are sprung for a linebacker you more than welcome to take them for a spin.

I know you guys would love that park. It’s super fun, and has challenges for every skill level.
