Have a Sentry roll-up hard cover...nice that it can be rolled up and completely removed.

I was happy with my BakFlip G2 that I've had for just under 2 years until last month, when I notice the black finish was starting to peel off in a couple of spots. Since then it's flaked off several more areas. Rather than go through the warranty claims process to put the same thing back on and potentially have the same problem down the road I've decided I'm going to do what I've wanted to do for a while and ordered an ARE cap.

I have the diamondback now and am a huge fan of it. I had a backflip originally but had 3 separate attempts of people trying to break into it in Seattle, so I just traded my way up to the diamondback using facebook marketplace and a few well timed swaps. I’m much more confident that my stuff will still be in the bed at the end of the day now.

I should note that no one ever successfully made it into the bed, so maybe it was just my paranoia that they eventually would.

i had a Pace Edwards Full Metal Jacket, which is aluminum and rolling... i liked it better than the solid piece fiberglass ARE tonneau that i had on a previous truck.

The solid ones look nice, but if you have to haul something above the bedside height, they suck.

I ordered a Gator EFX hard fold tonneau cover, from Real Truck and had to send it back because it was missing all the mounting hardware. Some of the other hard tonneau covers are really expensive, this one cost $748 and I was crying. It does not fold all the way up to the back window to use your full bed but, I like that is easily removeable and low profile. I'll post pics once I get the replacement and install.

I've got the Bakflip X4S. If I were to pick again I would have just ordered a shell for the extra space and added security.

Cons to the X4S: 1. the plastic end pieces constantly pop off when rolling up and unrolling the cover (design flaw) 2. The cover will shift over time even if you don't use it, which means readjusting and retightening the lock down knobs. (not an enjoyable experience crawling in the bed of the truck on your back to do this. 3. It gets too hot (you'll burn your hands hot) to open and close in the summer months with the metal slat construction.

Pros: It's super flush, looks nice, can still fit a large ice chest with the cover shut and is pretty secure for what it is.

Been running with a Diamondback SE for 4ish years now. Love it as a tonneau cover, only looking now to expand to a cab high shell for the dog.

That's more than what the truck is rated for, lol. You can't beat a Diamondback for toughness and security. I wish they made a tri-fold.
