With Black Friday coming up hopefully they do another big price cut on Costco for a few days! It is back on Costco currently for $169 but with a lot less accessories.

For those that want a little more volume, and a electric pump check out harts rinse kit. I got one and its great! I can wash off the kids sandy feet, spray down the kayaks, or wash off vomit from the side of the truck when the neighbor drank too much. The only issue I have with it is there is no mount to hold it down in the bed, so it tends to fall over pretty easy. I contacted hart about it and they dont have plans to make a mount for it, but right now a strap works just fine.

I ended up getting a replacement hose a couple years later and it seems to be a little bit better quality in a little longer than the original hose and works fine

I also bought a bunch of brass Kwik fit connectors so I can hook up my garden hose super fast, and then back to the hose attachment for this. Works pretty well.

I wondered about one of those expandable hoses that worried that the pressure necessary to make the hose expand might detract from the pressure coming out of the tank... But really have no idea.

I tried one of those but it doesn’t keep the pressure very high. Probably due to the “expanding hose” idea. But they’re cheap, try it & see ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

has anyone come up with a realistic way to pressurize the daytank?

In the context of intended use “go anywhere device” on a “go anywhere vehicle”

which is the polar opposite of “own a home with a front yard and pressurize it once using your garden hose”

I do see a YT video about modding it. I think to accept air. I’ll watch and find out.
Because that way actually IS feasible and is unfortunate they don’t come that way stock.
Air is more plentiful, and at minimum, everyone off roading carries at least a small air compressor to air back up tires

edit: I’ll look over my daytank. Site says can use schrader valve to add up to 40psi. Hopefully it’s not just a blink of an eye fill risking damage

A small portable bike bump works great and is fairly easy. I also bought a small portable tiny rechargeable compressor that also works.... seems to hold a charge for quite a while.

Any portable air compressor, bike pump, or Waterport's pump cap could be used to pressurize the tank after filling up the tank from the top cap. Just be sure to leave room for air, probably about 15% of the total volume.

It's interesting that their site say to pressurize up to 40 psi. I've always used a garden hose to pressurize while filling and it has reached around 50 psi. My daytank is also starting to bulge from the top where the handle is. Thanks to Waterport's measly 90 day warranty, I'm SOL...

the pressure relief valve should prevent it from getting that high.

i use my bike pump to pressurize it if i have to refill it most of the time. i also have that cap with the built in handle and a portable compressor in my truck.

admittedly i dont use it too frequently, but it works well for the last couple of years i've had it.

only incidents are when my gf doesn't attach the hose correctly and it pops off.
