    Sounds good

I'm looking at a not-so-expensive pneumatic pedal to use in lieu of the hand switch for the air over hydraulic jack

Figure why use it in 'stock' form when I can mod it all up at once

Buying an actual foot switch or making one that adapts the cheap hand valve to be actuated by a pedal?

@Kwikvette This is my idea, it's simple and it works with two different valves on any vehicle you want to use them on.

This is the normal MAC valve holder that you find for sale, it uses taper head screws, which you cannot always find to fit your application and requires you to use a hole that's directly behind the apparatus.

Can see it holding a 4 port MAC valve.

Anyway, why can't it be a tab, that would make it smaller and you could hang the valve at any angle.

I found similar but it only holds a 4 port (can easily make one that holds a 3 port and a 4 port, it's one extra hole) and it is aluminum so it's spendy.

    I'm a lazy bastard, I have a mini-lathe and mini-mill. Maybe I should just buy a chunk of 1/4" alum

Was looking at one of those cheap ones that work only when depressed; letting off closes the valve.

I'd attach said pedal to the bottom crossmember so it goes everywhere with the unit.

Does it have a DRO? If not, I totally get your laziness, it looks just finicky enough I wouldn't wanna do it completely manual

Otherwise, yea... why haven't you just milled one yourself?:luvya:

That sounds like a really simple and elegant idea. When I first started at wolverine bossman had set something up like that for our hydraulic hose crimper, worked great.

I wonder if he still has that since we got an electric crimper, it would be nice to not need to buy another crimping set up for VA:fingerscrossed:

When I pretended to be a machinist my production cell had me running 2 3axis lathes and 1 4axis mill. Got to mess with a manual lathe and shiv balancer occasionally but never a manual mill.... im sure I could get it, but I'd be sweating bullets the whole time lol

its way easier than messing with a manual lathe IMHO. Only thing kinda hard is getting it trammed in.

We just got our returned lease today! Were tryin to be a business ballin on a budget so Now we need to consolidate what tools we can from this shop. Make a list of what barebones other things we'll need, and then coordinate trucking. Boss only wants us building handsaws and my electric powerpaks but I know that'll change as soon as we get out there and actually get going.

I know his hesitation cause it's expensive as fuck to stock 2 locations especially when our 37hp gas engines are almost 5k each. But I want him to just give me all the production except for the big diesel stuff, he can keep that shit out here lol

Tell you what, if there's something I can cut out and/or bend for ya that you can use personally at the new shop don't hesitate shooting me a text.

Think of it as a welcoming gift to the new location.
