I picked up a cargo net with special hooks that fit right into the bed rails. Just loop it on the net, put into the bed rail slot, and turn 90 degrees. Pretty slick!
The brand, TacoNets, say they are a small US business (not sure where manufacturing is). Link below for the long bed; short is sold out. Don't be me and get the wrong one with the wrong hooks. But the owner 'hooked' me up with the correct Toyota bed rail hooks. So good people running TacoNets.

New here, just purchased a 22 Tacoma TRD Off-road in MGM Saturday….love this truck!!! Some accessories came in today I put on rain deflectors, replaced interior lights with LEDs, RC seat covers, TRD shift knob, inside the bed corner lights, painted the chrome emblems black. Front leveling kit will be here tomorrow and new tail lights (I hate chrome on trucks, may color match stock rear bumper). Pics were before rain guards and LEDs, got to dark. Emblems came out good though totally changes the look of the truck in my opinion.

    Welcome!
I painted my chrome bumper with PlastiDip and it's holding up perfectly so far. There's also a place that sells covers for the bumper, but I spent $11 and an afternoon rather than buy them: https://chromestoppers.com/collecti...umper-covers-2016-2020?variant=37592281415851

I thought about plasti dipping the bumper as well. The color of the badges I don’t think would look to great it’s a bit darker and metal flaked compared to the gray. Any ideas of a brand color that matches the MGM fairly close?

I don't have a brand of paint in mind but the MGM color has been a favorite for many years (my '08 4Runner has it) so I'm sure someone has duplicated it. The matte black emblem overlay and matte black PlastiDip work great with my LR. Plus I didn't trust myself with a paint I couldn't remove :). I see your point about matching the MGM though; you'd probably want a good match.

im with yah on the paint, I would much rather it be removable and able to be redone when it fades. I did see a truck on the road today with those covers, black doesn’t look terrible. I’ll have to see what the old google turns up as far as a close MGM color. Lunar is a pretty sweet color too for what it’s worth. I’m all for subtle cosmetic changes to bring new life to these trucks. I can’t wait till these tires reach the end of their life so I can get some bronze TRD wheels. May add a light bar behind the grill as well for night drives on the beach at the out banks this summer.

Nice truck! I had the same problem back in 2019. There were no color-matched bumper shells on the market yet. I think just white and unpainted. I ended up buying the raw bumper shells and taking it to MAACO to be color matched. They charged me $85 bucks to color match with the cement paint. I've got an old photo I took while installing it. I always intended to post about that but never did!
4 years later the paint still looks great!

So, I know you mentioned you were on the fence about doing this yourself vs. taking it to a shop. Now that it is done, if you had to do it all over again which would you choose? I have the same kit in my garage waiting to be installed is why I ask. Just trying to decide if I want to tackle it myself.

After 70K on the originals, I finally got some new shoes for my Tacoma! The stock tires were 245/75/16 Firestone Destination LE2's. Even at 70K they still had a little bit of tread life, but I didn't want to push it too far. Getting that many miles out of tires rated for 52K was really nice. I opted to go a touch bigger and a tad more aggressive on the new ones. After reading and watching a lot of reviews, I went with Firestone Destination A/T2's at 265/75/16, white letters out. My steering wheel was slightly off center as well so I had an alignment done too...problem solved. Hoping these tires will last a good while!

I just picked up the Driver-Side Dash Mount to use with an old phone set up with the OBD Fusion app. I also picked up the Stealth Power Port from Taco Garage so I can power it. I'm trying to figure out if I need to get a flat USB cable to fit between the trim panels or if a standard round cable will work. Either of you have any insight here? I'm having a heck of a time finding a flat USB cable that is long enough and doesn't have crap reviews on Amazon.

I get 14 to 18 MPGs with mine. Supercharged, too. I made a custom front fairing @FlatbedTaco but I didn't do a before and after comparison to know if it actually helps MPGs. Butt dyno says Yes!

    Brand new.

I did the same thing, I also purchased the Tailgate lock too, if they can get it open , this stops them from taking the tailgate off. $ 30.00

I just ran my cable back to the a-pillar. Only a short distance so minimal cable is exposed. Once you get it there it is easy to route it where it needs to go while keeping it out of sight.

Installed a TRD intake flow accelerator. Cheap mod so I figured I'd give it a try and it only took a few minutes to install.

Also, cut and sealed off the running light wire from the DD SSC1 Hitchmount Pod.

Why did you not like the running light?

I'm not interested in having another running light, mostly for aesthetics. I didn't think the C1 had one and I purposely purchased it over the C1R as I didn't want a running light or another brake light. It was an easy fix though.
