Ordered a '23

I recently traded in my '08 PreRunner for a '22 TRD Offroad since the '08 needed more work than I was willing to put into it, and I was tired of the 2WD jokes (Tho the locker got me out of everything I got myself into) - but anyway, I wanted something newer. My intention was then to trade the '22 in for a '24 hybrid when that shows up... but since Toyota refuses to show me what it looks like, I just said F it and got something more in line with what I wanted originally anyway. Since the '22 trade in value (in theory) is now more than I owe, feels like I'm getting a discount lol.

For you JBL folks out there, do I put the OEM speakers back in the '22 and put the kickers (KS Series) in the '23, or is the OEM JBL alright?

 

I can't comment on the speakers but I will say these trucks hold their value better than most. I just traded in my 2022 SR for a Tundra for more room with the kids. Paid 34k, 16 months later I traded it for $31,800. It also saved me over $3k in taxes by trading it. Even when you trade it in, you'll come out ahead.

 

Kickers will not work with JBL. JBL has low impedance speakers.

A fellow TW member may have alternative speaker recommendations for a JBL equipped 3rd gen.

 

Ah, good to know! I shall gift the next owner a better sound experience along with tinted windows I guess lol.
