Ok, so, layman’s terms, we are thinking the Pro may be available in MT w hybrid and big torque numbers? And then a separate MT option as well?

That doesn’t seem to follow the decision to drop MT on the 2.7 I4, right?

Seems like past decisions would point to MT only for top shelf trucks meeting the enthusiast’s demands, and make all value conscious buyers stay with AT?

Interesting reveal if two different MT power trains are truly in the cards. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Yeah, I wasn’t aware that key fobs or regular keys were inconvenient. Chill and enjoy the beverage of your preference on this taco Tuesday :fistbump:

I’ll say off road and pro will have the MT. My opinion is based on nothing. Lol

Hmm I think the carmaker fella said the manual would only be in the non hybrid they think. I would love to see a Pro R with the Tundra engine

That's very non toyota of them. Trd pro and sports with manual sell well in Canada.

Funny to see OEM "sport pedals" making a return after 13 years

I had them in my 2016 FRS. Never had an issue even when tracking the car doing heel toe.

I wasn't aware they were doing this. I wonder if this was a longevity decision.

Hopefully Toyota didn't put lower rated parts on the truck and its simply a tune.

If it is a tune hopefully someone can crack it so they can "unlock" the paywall performance. ha

Similar to the GM twins, if you get a Colorado with the detuned engine you can go to the service department and they will tune to the full torque ZR2 spec for an undisclosed and unreasonable amount. Or just buy the GMC with the already HO motor.

Given that all that was released yesterday was a photo of pedals I’m going to guess that we won’t see a full reveal soon. There are so many other minor details they can use as teasers for weeks or months to come.

Electronic actuator in the rear caliper already confirmed through spy shots. So it'll be a button on the dash a bit bigger than a power window switch. Tundra's parking brake switch:

This seems like a stupid idea that never should have happened. Electronic and emergency don’t seem like the smartest combination. Have any of these failed yet at important places like a boat ramp? What if the vehicle dies at speed? Do you have no emergency brakes to slow down?

All valid points, unfortunately most new cars come equipped like this. The days of the emergency hand brake are numbered.
