do you have aftermarket speakers? Or plan to add some? I recently upgraded mine to the XAVAX 7000. It was a built in high power amplifier. Plus im bias towards the Sony stuff because its so well made. The signal that comes out is top notch. I think they joying one made in china. Not saying its not quality but just a thought.

My bad. I looked yesterday but couldn't remember. Both being gray confuses me.

I don't have aftermarket speakers and don't really plan on upgrading them.

all good. as far as alignment numbers, I need to go back after swapping in my BTF LCAs to see what my caster is at now with them being pushed forward by design + my max caster rear setting with the Poly Taco Tabs. Feels great on the road and steering is even lighter and more stable with the even more added caster. I dont really need an alignment, but I do just want to see how much caster these LCAs added/what I'm at now.

I have Bison tabs (not really impressed, but got them for free). The last time I got an alignment, I eyeballed it and stuck them in. But I swapped the bolts myself.

I think for 2nd gens you want 3-4* of caster? And zero the rest out. Its just been so long since I got an alignment, that i don't remember.

^^ the BTF lowers might add caster like @XPOTRPR said. I know the TC lowers that I have dont add anything

Toyota Specs call for that yes.. but that doesnt mean you need that. More caster than that.. its still fine.. at least with me. Some people like to, or feel they need to, stick to OEM numbers. On a modified "toy".. I dont really care about what's spec anymore. I bet mine is 4 degrees or more.. and I actually like the higher caster (which is just a byproduct of me working to get more firewall clearance). The truck seems more stable at speeds and tracks nicer (stretched wheelbase).

The DK's I had prior dont add caster(clearance) either. Its just BTF and Solo that make these new High Caster LCAs. My main goal from switching to the BTFs from the DKs was to gain clearance.. so the High Caster was needed.

I just throw in my Taco Tabs, set toe, and off I go. I let the Camburg UCAs just do what they do caster/camber wise, and I just worry about what I can adjust at the LCAs. Which, with the Taco Tabs, again.. I just let them do what they do with their specific/built in caster settings, and the only thing I can adjust is my Toe.

The Taco Tabs also make for the above mentioned switching out LCAs and or maintenance in general, super easy to do and no need to get alignments after anymore (minus toe, but I usually just set that myself).

The JBA's are ok. My experience, which may be outdated at this point, is that the ball joint life blows. I had them for three years and went through three pairs of ball joints. I assumed it was be being hard on them but when I posted it on my IG story I had a dozen other people saying they had a similar experience. Sure, they're inexpensive (ish) and easy to replace but it's still a safety concern. My new recommendation is either the JD fab or dirt king UCA.

This.. Why I swapped from BJ UCAs as well.. Might even already be rethinking the BJs on the new BTFs because of that. Just too hard on them..

I left out the JD fab ones yesterday. Those are the ones I have been eyeing mostly. I was going cross eyed from looking at them all.

Took about an hour to get some thin paint/rust knocked off on the sides of the rear bumper today. Finally warming up to late spring temps after dipping into the 30's for almost a month. Ridiculous.

It's not perf but it looks way better. I have some other spots to touch up but there is so many other things going on this week that I only have so much time to devote to this right now. Gonna let it cure overnight.

You need the lower pivots, those are on my list. I want to shift it all forward and have permanent alignment.

Quite the day, today. I received an email and a phone call that I won a gift card for leaving a review on the new oil separator.
